Sarah Lombardi
2009 Scholarship Recipient

In her application, Sarah wrote that "brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something...the brick walls are there to stop the people who don't want it bad enough." With a positive demeanor and affable personality, Sarah is a kind and caring young lady who has a genuine gift for working with young children. In addition to her many hours of volunteer and instructional work, Sarah has been recognized for her academic achievement and is a member of the Italian honor Society and the Quill & Scroll honor Society. She has assisted with fund-raising events for the American Cancer Society and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and has been involved with the GL newspaper as a staff writer and visual editor. An amazing and talented young lady. We are honored to recognize Sarah as the 2009 Amber Pizzo Memorial Scholarship recipient.
